We provide you with all the internet you need. We have four computers you can use anytime, a couple of laptops you can borrow from the bar, or you can use the wifi throughout the building. We keep it open without any passwords to make it easy for you to log on. And its all free to use.

In the morning you can enjoy a free simple breakfast, consisting of cereal & milk (Corn Flakes/Muesli/Weetabix), Toast & Spread (Vegemite, Jam or Chocolate), a refreshing Orange Drink and Coffee or Tea. It is served in the bar area between 6am and 12pm, so whether you are starting early to go on tour, or sleeping in you can always get your breakfast.

Yes we have a bar, a real bar, with pool tables and everything. We sell beers, ciders, and spirits all for the cheapest prices we can manage. The bar is open until at least 1am most nights, sometimes 3am if there are lots of people around, and 5am on weekends.

We have 6 bed, 8 bed and 12 bed female dormitories available for anyone who prefers not to share with the boys.

For your safety, security and convenience, we have staff on 24 hours a day. They guard the front door, clean the hostel, and help you when you need it.
You can check in 24 hours a day, come and go as you please, and just have a chat.

We are smack bang in the middle of the city center, in the New Town, which isn’t really that new at all. The main shopping street is outside our front door, and there are pubs and clubs everywhere. The Old Town is a 10 minute walk away, and indeed there isn’t much that you would want to do in Edinburgh that is more than 15 minutes walk from our front door.

We use key cards to access your rooms. These are better than normal keys because anyone can copy a normal key. The keycards expire at a certain time, so in the unlikely event that a copy is able to be made, it will only last a short time. You can even keep your keycards as a souvenir. You should always show your card to reception when you walk past, and you will need to use your keycard to enter the hostel after midnight.

In your room you will find lockers which you can use. You will need to supply your own padlock, or you can purchase one from us for £2.50.
The lockers are about 600hx305wx460d mm, so large suitcases might not fit, but they can always go under the bed.

When you check out we have a luggage storage cupboard where you can leave your bags for the day while you explore Edinburgh a bit more.

In the bar we have some lockers available where you can charge you phone or laptop securely. There is no cost, but you have to ask the staff to open them for you.
